This, however, became a topic of controversy because John was dating another popular actress, Bipasha Basu and they were public with their relationship. So it was speculated that John was probably cheating on Bipasha with Priya. However, John later came forward to clarify that he and Bipasha has broken up the year before, that is in 2010, and he began dating Priya in 2011.
